DJI has officially entered the home appliance market with the launch of its first robot vacuum series, the ROMO lineup. The new series includes three models: Romo S, Romo A, and Romo P. DJI is positioning the Romo series as a high-performance cleaning solution powered by its advanced sensing and robotics technology previously used in its flagship drones.

DJI Romo Series Specifications
The Romo series uses a dual fisheye visual system combined with three wide-angle solid-state LiDAR sensors to support millimeter-level obstacle avoidance. DJI says the robot can accurately detect objects as thin as 2mm and avoid obstacles like wires, furniture legs, and pet waste during cleaning. The system works in both bright and dim lighting conditions.

All three models feature 25,000Pa suction power, a 164ml onboard water tank for wet mopping, and a 260ml dustbin. DJI equips the Romo with dual flexible mechanical arms designed to ensure 100% edge coverage, reducing the chances of missed spots along walls and corners. The dual anti-tangle roller brush design is aimed at minimizing hair entanglement and reducing maintenance.
The Romo robot supports four cleaning modes: vacuum and mop, vacuum-only, mop-only, and vacuum-then-mop. Battery capacity stands at 5,000mAh, with a runtime of up to three hours in quiet vacuum mode. DJI includes a 55W fast charging system that takes about 2.5 hours to fully charge the robot.
DJI offers three versions of the Romo: the standard Romo S with a white body and basic features, the mid-range Romo A with a transparent shell and optional upgrades, and the flagship Romo P, which comes with a transparent robot and base station. The Romo P includes UV-sterilized dust bags, a built-in deodorizing wastewater module, and disinfectant cleaning fluids.

The base station supports self-cleaning and includes a 4L clean water tank, a 3.2L dirty water tank, and a 2.4L dust bag. The Romo P model uses a different station variant that adds antibacterial and deodorizing features by default. All base stations support Bluetooth 5.1 and dual-band Wi-Fi.
DJI also enables smart features like video calling, voice assistant support, remote video monitoring, and intelligent carpet detection through the DJI Home App. All models include TÜV SÜD baby-grade certification for hygiene and safety.
Pricing and Availability
The Romo P is priced at 6,799 yuan for the water tank version and 7,399 yuan ($1,030) for the auto water inlet/outlet model. The Romo A starts at 5,399 yuan ($752), while the base Romo S is available from 4,699 yuan ($654). These are now up for sale in China on JD.com.
